FAQ

Common questions

A practical overview of how uLendMe works and where to go next.

What is uLendMe?+

uLendMe is an all-in-one lending app on Solana. It brings together microloans, pooled lending, peer-to-peer loans, real-world asset collateral, insurance, and on-chain credit history.

Why does uLendMe focus on microloans?+

Microloans give new borrowers a realistic first step. Instead of requiring a long credit history on day one, uLendMe lets borrowers start small, repay on-chain, and build a track record that can unlock larger loans later.

What is the credit ladder?+

The credit ladder is the path from smaller loans to larger borrowing limits. Repayments, vouches, attestations, and loan outcomes feed into a portable profile that helps determine what you can access next.

What does the Borrow Wizard do?+

The Borrow Wizard asks about your loan amount, duration, collateral, and reputation status. It then recommends the route that makes the most sense: Credit Passport, Pool Borrow, P2P, or Micro Loans.

When should I use Pool Borrow?+

Use Pool Borrow when you have collateral and want faster liquidity from an automated pool. It is the simplest collateralized route when you do not need custom negotiation.

When should I use P2P lending?+

Use P2P when terms matter. It is designed for custom amount, APR, duration, collateral, and counterparty selection.

What is a Credit Passport loan?+

Credit Passport is a first-time pilot credit route. It is designed to help eligible borrowers begin building on-chain repayment history before moving into larger or more customized products.

How do vouches work?+

Vouches let established users back another borrower through credit lines. They help support undercollateralized or microloan flows, but they also introduce responsibility for the voucher.

How do I improve my reputation?+

Repay loans on time, get vouched by trusted users, vouch responsibly, and keep your loan outcomes healthy. Defaults reduce your score.

What is the reputation NFT?+

The reputation NFT is a portable on-chain credit artifact. It can reflect your score and tier, and can be synced as your reputation changes.

Can I lend instead of borrow?+

Yes. The Earn area routes lenders into pool deposits and insurance staking. Pool lenders earn borrower-paid yield; insurance stakers earn premiums for underwriting risk.

What is the insurance pool?+

The insurance pool holds underwriting capital. Stakers can earn premium yield while helping cover loan risk across supported products.

What can I see in Portfolio?+

Portfolio brings together your lender deposits, borrower loans, collateral, insurance stake, bridge tools, strategies, and detailed positions.

What are real-world assets in uLendMe?+

Real-world assets are approved off-chain assets represented on-chain, such as tokenized invoices or receivables. uLendMe supports using them as NFT collateral in lending flows.

Why Solana?+

Small loans and frequent repayments need low-cost settlement. Solana keeps microloans, escrow, repayment, and custom lending flows practical on-chain.

Is the app custodial?+

The app is wallet-based. You connect a Solana wallet and interact with on-chain programs. Loan collateral is handled by protocol escrow rules rather than a traditional account system.

What should I do first?+

If you are not sure where to start, use the Borrow Wizard. If you already know your role, go to Earn to lend or Borrow to choose a loan route directly.

Not sure which route to take?

The Borrow Wizard can turn your needs into a personalized loan route in a few steps.
